Craft your own ceramic pieces with us at Open Your Art this year!

Open Your Art is excited to offer ceramics programs year round on Tuesday’s and

Wednesday’s. The classes are held at the Open Your Art studio in the Charlotte Street

Arts Centre, 732 Charlotte Street, Fredericton.

Open Your Art offers ceramics programs for adults, teens, and youth.

Each series of classes runs for 6 weeks (except for youth, have 5) and students will experience an introduction to

handbuilding, wheel throwing and glazing. Students will be introduced to surface design

techniques, creating attachments and sculptural elements and one on one guidance on

the pottery wheel.

NEW STUDENTS will be guided through an introduction program starting with

hand-building before an introduction to throwing on a pottery wheel.

RETURNING STUDENTS are welcome to choose hand-building projects we

offer templates for, work through their own project concepts or jump straight onto

the wheel.

HANDBUILDING AND WHEEL THROWING CLASSES:

Youth (8yo-11yo) TUESDAYS 5:00-6:30pm (5 classes per session)

Teen (12yo+) WEDNESDAYS 5:00-6:30pm (6 classes per session)

Adults TUESDAYS 6:30-8:30pm (6 Classes per session)

Adults WEDNESDAYS 6:30-8:30pm (6 Classes per session)

WHEEL THROWING ONLY CLASS** NEW OFFERING:

Adults Mondays 6:30-8:30 (6 classes per session)

Open Your Art welcomes students to come learn the art of throwing on the pottery wheel.  This small class will offer an abundance of 1:1 instruction to ensure each student meets their goals. This pottery class is open to all levels of experience.

**Students wanting to bring in their own commercial glazes will be determined on a

case-by-case basis. This process will include a damage deposit and a one-on-one with

our studio tech to ensure proper understanding and application methods are used.

*Please bring your own apron if you wish to have one.

Ceramics are typically available for pick up within 2 weeks after the final glazing

class.
