The Beginner Atelier Experience

Beginner artists need no previous experience, they will be guided with weekly projects in process-art-play styles, sensory-rich, and satisfying creative media explorations! Skill development, student interest, and trust are what we focus our efforts on building!

Each week will present a featured Open Your Art media curriculum that supports skill development in visual arts. Mixed Media Curricula projects may focus on Drawing, Color, painting (WaterColor, Acrylic), book-binding, printmaking, paper engineering, sculpture, ceramics, and toy design.

*If you are unsure of your child’s artistic skill level (whether they are more beginner or ready for intermediate classes) please note that all students 11 y/o and below will be placed in a beginner’s class. One of our Instructors will assess your child’s skills during the class and may provide more challenging approaches to projects to aid their individual artistic skill development.

All artists of all ages and skill levels walk their very own artistic journey! Building foundational art and motor skills on top of confidence are the priorities of our Youth classes.

Classes run on Wednesdays, Your choice of 1:00pm, 2:30pm or 4:00pm at checkout

Time: Choose 1hr 15min time slots, indicated when purchasing your pass (1:00, 2:30, OR 4:00) Curriculum is presented in 8-week cycles.

Ongoing program runs: September 13, 2023 - June 2024 (start ANYTIME, this is a PUNCH card format so consecutive week attendance is not required!)

Starts up again week of : September 9 , 2024

Closed for: Stat Holiday, School Snow Day closures, and March Break

Cost: $250 + tax, 8 weeks of instruction (flexible attendance), all materials provided
